On September 30,
2004, the CBA XC team set the national record for consecutive dual-meet
victories at 266. The record has lasted since the beginning of the
1974 season and does not have an end in sight. At the end of the 2004
season, the record stands at 268 straight dual-meet wins. Many
runners have contributed to this streak but the one constant has been
Coach Heath. This accomplishment binds all those involved in the
team from the beginning until now. It was a great day to celebrate as a crowd of over 500 attended to witness the feat.
